Tannin on Bree is a dream project realised by husband and wife team Dominic and Lisa Wood. After ten years running a busy inn in England’s Cotswolds, they packed up, moved to Cape Town, and set out to create the kind of wine bar they’d love to spend time in: warm, welcoming, and all about celebrating the incredible variety of Cape wines. This beautiful wine bar brings together 430 wine labels, with 40 of them rotating by the glass. Each floor offers something different, with a ground floor bar perfect for after-work drinks or catching up with friends, a first floor open kitchen and restaurant, and a top floor wine cellar that doubles as a space for tastings, private dinners and events. With rare and sought-after bottles from some of South Africa’s most respected producers, striking interiors, and an easy-going atmosphere. A curated menu of seasonal small plates is crafted by resident Chef Blaine Coetzer.
