How to Enjoy the Ajabu Spirits and Cocktail Festival

 

Ajabu is more than a festival – it is an experience. From 25 to 30 November 2025, Cape Town will come alive with cocktails, creativity, and world-class talent. Here’s how to make the most of your festival week.

Explore the Bars and Mashups

International and local bartenders team up to create exclusive cocktails. Each drink celebrates African ingredients, flavour, and craftsmanship. Ten core collaboration bars and twenty participating bars across the city ensure something new every evening from 18:00.

Enjoy Every Cocktail

Your wristband gives you access to all participating bars. Enjoy drinks neat, on ice, or as part of a bespoke creation. Many bars also offer low alcohol or non-alcoholic options for R86, so you can pace yourself or take part without drinking alcohol.

Workshops and Masterclasses

Learn from global and local experts in hands-on workshops and masterclasses. Discover new mixology techniques, ingredients, and trends. Some sessions are free, while others may require a small fee. Space is limited, so book early.

Collect Your Wristband

Collect your wristband at the Ajabu Welcome Desk before the festival using your QR registration. Your wristband gives you access to all participating bars and experiences.

Ajabu is strictly over 18. Please bring valid ID. Some venues may have a higher age requirement, which will be listed on the website.
