Tickets, Registration and Access

How do I register or get tickets?

You can register online through our official ticketing partner. Once your registration is confirmed, you will receive a QR code by email. Present this QR code at the official Ajabu Welcome Desk before the festival to collect your wristband.

Where do I collect my wristband?

Your wristband can be collected at the Ajabu Welcome Desk in Cape Town before the start of the festival. Simply show your QR code, either printed or digital, to receive it. Wristband collection details and location will be shared closer to the event.

What does the wristband give me access to?

Your wristband is your passport to the Ajabu experience. It gives you access to all thirty participating bars across Cape Town, where you can enjoy exclusive R86 cocktails every evening from 18:00 between 25 and 30 November. You will also have access to the ten core collaboration bars during the mashup evenings, where local and international bartenders join forces for unforgettable experiences.

Are there any complimentary or paid events?

Yes. Some mashups, workshops, and seminars are complimentary, while others may have a small fee. Space is limited, and registration is required to ensure entry and comfort for all guests.

When will I receive my tickets?

Tickets will be sent to you at the beginning of November. You will need to present your ticket and QR code to collect your wristband before the festival begins.

Venue and Logistics

Where do I collect my wristband?

Wristbands can be collected at the official Ajabu Welcome Desk before the festival. Simply show your QR registration, either printed or digital, to receive your wristband, which gives you access to all participating venues and experiences.

Do bars charge for drinks?

Yes. Each venue manages its own cocktail menu and pricing. Your wristband provides access to the experiences, but drinks are purchased directly at the bar.

Is there an age restriction?

Yes. Ajabu is open to guests aged 18 and older. Please bring a valid form of identification with you.

Bars, Pop Ups and Experiences

What are Bar Mashups?

Bar Mashups are one of the highlights of Ajabu. They bring together local bars and international bartenders to collaborate on exclusive cocktail menus inspired by African ingredients and innovation.

Are there seminars or masterclasses?

Yes. Ajabu features educational sessions, tastings, and industry discussions led by global experts and African talent. These sessions cover mixology, sustainability, creativity, and the business of hospitality.

Do I need to attend the full week?

No. You can attend as many or as few events as you like. Your wristband gives you access across the full festival period.

For Trade and Industry

I work in hospitality. Is Ajabu relevant for me?

Absolutely. Ajabu includes trade tastings, brand showcases, networking opportunities, and workshops created for professionals in the drinks and hospitality industry.

Can I host an event or pop up?
